Thanks for playing! Israeli Whist is a single-player card game where you bid, predict your tricks, and try to hit your number exactly against three world-class AI opponents. It runs fully offline, shows no ads, needs no account, and collects no data.
How to play
- Trump bidding. Bid a minimum number of tricks and a trump suit, or pass. Each bid must beat the last (more tricks, or the same tricks with a higher-ranked trump: ♣ < ♦ < ♥ < ♠ < No Trump). The highest bidder sets the trump.
- Takes. Every player predicts how many tricks they'll win. The four predictions can never total exactly 13 — someone is over, someone under.
- Play. Follow suit if you can; trump wins. Match your prediction exactly to score big; each trick over or under costs you. Sometimes it's smart to lose a trick on purpose.

How good are the bots? Do they cheat?
They don't cheat — each bot sees only its own hand plus public information, the same as you. They use a Determinized Monte Carlo engine (the technique behind top computer card players), so their decisions are genuinely strong and human-like.
Why can't the four bids total 13?
That's the "over/under" rule: the last player to predict is constrained so the four predictions never sum to exactly 13. It guarantees the hand is either "over" (someone must overshoot) or "under" (someone must fall short), which shapes the strategy.
What are a "gamlet" and a "round"?
A gamlet is one full deal (13 tricks). A game runs up to 10 gamlets or until someone reaches 200 points. Your running scorecard is saved automatically between sessions.

Israeli Whist does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It has no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. All game state — your name, scores, and history — is stored locally on your device and never leaves it. The app makes no network requests beyond loading itself.
